My second guest for my Pridepalooza IG Live Series this year was Alex Locust (he/she/they), a Black biracial, queer “Glamputee” audaciously creating and celebrating the representation he wants to see in the world through art and activism. Alex aspires to embody the tenacity of the trailblazers in his lineage and points to disability justice as his North Star.
In this conversation that took place on June 14, 2022, we chatted about the ways we play with fashion, accessorizing, and makeup as queer folks and how we've developed our lewks over time. There's glitter! There's product recs! There's discussion of drag! There's outfit changes!

Pridepalooza is hosted each June by Shohreh Davoodi (she/her). Shohreh is a self-trust coach for queer folks (and accomplices), a writer, and the host of the Conjuring Up Courage podcast. Through her content and coaching, she helps people move through self-doubt and shame so they can live their lives with intention and step into their motherf*cking magic. When Shohreh's not in front of her computer, you can find her on her trapeze, shooting her compound bow, traipsing around in nature, playing music, doing crafty shit, and loving on her girlfriend and two pups. You can keep up with Shohreh on her website, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and Facebook.
